Apocalypse Kiss – The New Film By Potent Media

Coming soon from the director of such controversial films as Deer Crossing and The Wish is the newest edition from Potent Media entitled Apocalypse Kiss. This exploitation sci-fi feature is being compared to such classics as Blade Runner and Sin City, and I can see why. With a gritty atmosphere and shot in film noir style, Apocalypse Kiss takes you to a place where most won’t dare to tread.

Potent Media Releases New Sci-Fi Film With Elements Of Exploitation and Noir

The film follows the misguided adventures of a duo of drifters named Katia (Carmella Hayslett) and her best friend and lover Gladys (Tammy Jean). They look out for each other along their journey of debauchery while scamming and stealing their way through the city. In the meantime, a hardened Detective named Jerry (Tom Detrik) searches fiendishly for a murderer known as The Red Harvest Killer who stalks the underbelly of the city. He picks his victims randomly to keep his identity secret and only kills in the East Sector (a.k.a. the poor side of town).

Apocalypse Kiss stars a number of charismatic and genre veteran actors including D.C. Douglas (Two Broke Girls, Criminal Minds, Castle, and voice work for Resident Evil 5, Mass Effect 2, and The Last of Us. ), Tom Atkins (Halloween, The Fog, Escape From New York), Tom Detrik (Deer Crossing, Booley) and cameo appearances by Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes, Devil’s Rejects, Weird Science) and creator of Troma studios Lloyd Kaufman (Rocky, Toxic Avenger, Terror Firmer). With actors like these shot in gritty film noir style and a unique story, this one’s sure to intrigue. Especially when Lloyd Kaufman plays the president!

Apocalypse Kiss hits all VOD and DVD outlets across the U.S. April 8th. Also look for it on Netflix, iTunes, and Amazon.
